Important Info re: Player / Coach Registration

Player / Head Coach Registration

Little League

If you have a player interested in playing baseball, please set up an account on our registration website and add each player or potential player to your account as a participant.  By potential player, we mean that if you have younger children, you can add them as a participant before they are old enough to play. Once they qualify to play, the registration process will automatically prompt you with programs they are eligible for.

When you register your player(s) the system will expect payment at that time.  Note that payments must be made in full before Player Evaluations (see important dates).  Currently we only accept credit cards through the registration system.  If you wish to set up an alternative method of payment, want to set up a payment plan, or need financial assistance, please contact our registrar at [email protected]

Spring Babe Ruth
Because 13 and 14 year old players in Hopedale are also eligible to play on their High School athletic teams, we do not charge to register for Spring Babe Ruth.  We ask that players planning to try out for a High School team to please register, and in the general information/comments box during the registration process to indicate their intent to try out.  This will help us to determine whether we have enough players for a full team.

If we do not have enough players for a full team from Hopedale, most leagues in which we participate will allow those players to play on a different team.  While we cannot guarantee they will all be placed on the same team, we will do our best. Once it is determined there will be a team, then the payment will be charged to those families.

Coach Registration:

If you are interested in coaching this spring, please register yourself as a participant on our website.  Before you will be allowed on the field with your players, you must complete and clear a CORI check through the Massachusetts CORI process.  When you register yourself as a head or assistant coach, the system should ask you the pertinent information. It will only be available to the Registrar, who will provide the information privately (i.e. not through email) to the HYBA CORI representative for processing.

New this year is a requirement for Head Coaches to attend one of the two Coach Meetings.  It is highly preferred, but not required, for Assistant Coaches. In this meeting we will discuss expectations, ethics, league rules, etc.  If you wish to be a head coach, you must attend one of the meetings.
