Coaches
Want to feel like a kid again....well then join our team as a coach
and share a memory with your child. All head coaches and Assistant
Coaches must be approved by the
HYBA board of directors. The assistant coaches are reviewed by the board
but are primarily selected by the individual head coach. As a coach, you
will have a wonderful opportunity to be a positive role model for the
youth of Hopedale and have some fun playing ball. We stress a safe,
supportive, educational environment where every kid has the opportunity
to play and be part of a team!
Concession Stand
What is baseball without a hot dog and cracker jacks!!! As a
non-profit organization, the HYBA is solely dependent upon the generous
support of our sponsors and the proceeds from our concession stand (
"The Batter's Box"). Here we serve up hot dogs, hamburgers,
refreshments, candy and pizza...but we need your help! We are in
constant need of volunteers to help run the concession stand. We need
weekly coordinators and volunteers to help serve the kids! During the
baseball season, our concession stand is open from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Monday-Thursday and from 12:00pm to 7:00pm on Sundays. Please check out
the concession stand schedule for the dates and times your team will be
helping the league out. Without the support of the parent volunteers in
"The Batters Box", we can not continue to run this league.
Field Repair
Spring cleaning to the HYBA means one thing....Field Repair. Time get
rid of the infield weeds and put a fresh coat of paint on the dugouts
and fences. Five of the six leagues use Draper baseball fields everyday
during baseball season, and we need your help. For the heavy duty
work, we need access to equipment such as:

Parents and children are welcome to help us get the fields ready for
opening day. Bring your rakes, shovels, wheel barrels and a smile to
help us out during the first 2 weeks of April. Parents, coaches and
members of the HYBA board of directors will be down at Draper field
and if you can help with any of the above items,
please contact Larry Embree (HYBA field coordinator). During the season
we need help from the coaches and parents just to make sure that the
fields are raked and the chalk lines are drawn. Opening day is not far
away, with your help , we will make it a great one!!!
